James Porter Albaugh "Jim"

James "Jim" Albaugh, 88, of Campbell passed away on Monday, August, 21, 2017.

James was born in Springfield, TN. on October 9, 1928, to Beatrice D. Bush and Vernon Albaugh. He graduated from SMU in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He was a research engineering manager for Texas Instruments. He was married to Rita Lee Albaugh and was a United States World War II Navy veteran. He held a pilot's license and loved to fly. James enjoyed golf, traveling (especially to the beach), scuba diving, ballroom dancing, playing chess and weight lifting. Jim loved all animals that he came in contact with and his favorite food was anything "Chocolate".

James is survived by his wife, Rita; his son, James Porter Albaugh II (Tawana) of Pickton, TX; his grandson, James Porter Albaugh III of Garland, TX; his step daughter, Diana Williamson of Melissa, TX; and, he was a father figure to James Aaron Binkley of Fort Worth, TX, Margaret Binkley of Fort Worth, TX, and a very special caregiver, Jamel Hart of Campbell, TX. James is also survived by his sister, Mary Sue Jones of Fort Worth, TX and Monique McLenon who was just like a sister; and, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Vernon Albaugh; his two brothers: Roy Samuel and Clyde Chapman Binkley; and, his stepson, Guy Williamson.

Funeral services for Jim will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 10:30 A.M. at Peniel Baptist Church, 609 Rees Street, Greenville, TX with Rev. Samuel Glenn officiating.

Interment will follow on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 2:15 P.M. at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas Texas.

Honorary pallbearers will be David "Kirk" Kuyendall, Dave Kuyendall ll, Haril Eugene Jones, Keith Barkman and Jamel Hart.
