Shirley Jean Myers

Shirley Jean Myers Harrell, 69, from Deltona, Florida passed away early Monday morning August 24, 2026, in Sulphur Springs, TX.

Born on September 23, 1956, in Valdosta, Georgia, Shirley Jean Myers Harrelll lived a life grounded in faith, family, and service.  She worked as a nurse, a calling that reflected the care she brought to others throughout her life.

Shirley was a very faithful Christian who loved God deeply.  She also loved her family and was known as a caring person by those who knew her.  Her family remained an important part of her life.  She was the third oldest of eight children.  Shirley's memory will be carried on by her husband Leonard Myers, her siblings Ella Coston, Dorothy Calhoun, Nora and Victor Carter, Virginia Green, Linda Harrell and Nelson Harrell Jr., her son Matthew Dackers, and her dear friends, Misty and Jay Trocki.  She also had a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Harrell, her father, Nelson Harrell Sr; her sister, Rose Harrell and her nephew Jermaine Harrell.

In remembering Shirley, those who knew her may find comfort in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

Shirley Jean Myers Harrell will be remembered with love and respect for a life marked by faith, compassion, and devotion to family.  Her memory will remain with all who knew her.
