Windell Bangs

Windell Bangs, age 75, of Commerce passed away Friday, October 31, 2008, at Mesquite Specialty Hospital in Mesquite, Texas.

Born in Enloe,TX, Windell retired from Texas A&M-Commerce after 28 years of service with the Maintenance Department. He was also a veteran serving his country in the United States Army.

Windell is survived by his wife, Odessa Shaw Bangs of Commerce; his sisters: Betty Fowler of Garland and Maurine Billups of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a special cousin, Ruth Williams of Campbell.

He was preceeded in death by his parents; a step-son, Lonnie Rucker; a brother; and, 6 sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, November 1, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce. Brother Terry Bryan, pastor of The Church at Klondike, will officiate.
