Wanda Hines

Wanda Lowtrice Hines, affectionately known as "Tiny," passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, in Plano, Texas. Born on July 21, 1964, in Greenville, Texas, Wanda’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to both her family and her profession as a Certified Nurses Aide.

Wanda’s infectious smile was a beacon of warmth and comfort to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She carried with her an extraordinary spirit, one that radiated through her caring profession where she touched countless lives with compassion and kindness. Her dedication to nursing was more than a career—it was a calling that reflected her genuine tenderness and zeal for helping others.

Family was at the very core of Wanda’s life. She deeply loved her children—Byron, Crystal, and Derek—and held her cherished grandchildren close to her heart: Jatavion Browner, Jamiya Gunn, Alona Campbell, Makayah Harmon, Amilah Campbell, Maryah Kelley, and Nova Hawkins. Family gatherings were the joyful moments she treasured most, occasions filled with laughter and love that strengthened the bonds she so carefully nurtured.

Wanda is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Tyrone and Corneilus Hines, and her aunt, Rhenda Hines, who shared in her joy and supported her throughout her journey. While the loss of her mother, Mattie Hines, her father, Joe H. Mabry, and her daughter Ashley Hines marked profound moments of sorrow in her life, Wanda’s enduring spirit remained unbroken and inspiring.

Her gentle presence, steadfast strength, and heartfelt love have left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Wanda Lowtrice Hines was more than just a caregiver to many; she was a guiding light, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church in Commerce.
