Wanda Jo Branom

Wanda Jo Branom, 94, passed away at her home in Fayette, Alabama on Monday, June 8, 2026. She was born on March 29, 1932, in Cumby, TX to I.N. (Boy) Preston and Clara Ann Hall.   Wanda worked for the Dallas ISD in the Food Service Division.  She married Leonard Branom on May 27, 1949, in Reno, NV.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Branom Holley of Fayette, AL; Granddaughter Misty Patriquin and husband Lorne of Fayette, Al; Grandson Bryan Branom and wife Terra of Commerce, TX; great grandchildren: Brandi Shamburger, Brandon Branom and Briseis Branom all of Commerce, TX; great great grandchildren: Brooklyn Shamburger of Quitman, TX, Kolston Stuart of Greenville, TX and Kynslee Shamburger of Commerce, TX.  She is also survived by her sister Linda Copeland of Paragould, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; very very special friends Bobby and Wanda Ford of Dallas, TX.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents I.N. (Boy) Preston and Clara Hall; husband Leonard Branom, brothers: James Duke and Charley Preston; and sisters: Bobbie JuneCurtsinger and Doris Crisel.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ridgecrest Cemetery with Grandson Brandon Branom officiating.

Pallbearers will be James Garner, Scott Garner, Tammy Ford, Kyle Shamburger, Weston Shamburger and Kaled Hoelscher.
