Victor Lee Luckey, affectionately known as Vic, passed away at the age of 57. He was born to James A. Luckey and Florine Dickerson Luckey on October 7, 1968, in Rockwall. He called Commerce, Texas, home, where he built more than fences—he built friendships and earned the respect of those who knew him. He had a heart as big as Texas and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. If someone needed him, he was there. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: playing dominoes, listening to music, spending time with friends, and sharing laughter wherever he went. His easygoing spirit and generous nature made people feel welcome, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
“A life measured not by the years we live, but by the kindness we leave behind. Your work may fade, but your love and the lives you touched will stand forever.”
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
He is survived by his God Daughter, Stacy Hearn, sister Barbara Brown of Commerce, brothers: Leonard R. Luckey of Leonard, Larry C. Luckey of Commerce and Sherman D. Luckey and wife Katherine of Wylie. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Loraine Luckey of Milton, Florida and a host of other relatives and friends.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents James A. Luckey Sr. and Florine Luckey, brothers James E. Luckey, Micheal Anthony Luckey and William Paul Luckey and a nephew Jerry Don Johnson.
