Thelma Johnson

Thelma (Mimi) Johnson of Cumby, Texas, was born on October 27, 1914. She passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2008, in Dallas, Texas.

Born in Oklahoma to James D Parsons and Hessie Mae Paterson, Thelma was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Judith Elder of Dallas, Texas; her sons: Charles David Eastman of Dallas, John Bruce Eastman of Paris, Texas, and James Edward Eastman of Ardmore, Oklahoma; two sisters: Norma June Petty of Cedar Creek and Francis Dearing of Abilene, Texas; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her parents: her first husband, J. B. Eastman in 1974, and her second husband, Emmett Johnson in 1983; her son Robert Eastman; three sisters; and one brother.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 17, 2008, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow visitation in Cumby City Cemetery, Cumby, Texas.

Bro. Terry Bryan of The Church at Klondike will officiate.
