Sarah Merline Sumner

Sarah Merline Sumner, 73, of Hugo, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012.

Sarah was born in Hill County, Texas, on November 11, 1938, to Mabray Lane and Maryetta Gravitt. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and working in her yard for which was selected as "Yard of th Month" in Hugo. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post 8316, Hugo Oklahoma.

She was married for 51 years to Howard Sumner.

Survivors include her husband, Howard; her son, Edward Craig; her daughter, Katherine Craig; her grandchildren: Allison Johnson, David Craig and Aaron Craig; her great-grandchildren: Randy, Leeanna and David; her sister, Elinor Sutton; and, her special friends: Mike and Karen Pride and boys of Las Vegas, NV.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Ronda Craig; her two brothers: Virgel Lane and Mabray Curtis Lane Jr. and, her two sisters: Mary Francis Witt and Viola Muzetta (Jane) Kelly.
