Sandy Gayle Jackson

Sandra (Sandy) Gayle Jackson, 74, of Dallas passed away at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas with family at her side on Sunday afternoon December 10, 2023.  She was born in Panama City, FL on April 22, 1949 to Alice Jeanette Monarch and John Manning Brissel.  She met and married James (Jim) M. Jackson on July 4, 1969.

Sandy loved to read and she loved her coffee.  Books and coffee were her life!  Sandy was a ray of light in so many lives.  She was a mother, friend, confidant, partner in crime, backseat driver and cheerleader to EVERYONE.  Some of her favorite sayings were: "Always be humble and kind," "God's got this," and "We're going on an adventure."

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Amy Jackson Leslie of Plano; sons: James T. Jackson of Dallas and Christopher M. Jackson of Oak Point; grandchildren: Logan Jackson of Farmersville, Colton Leslie of Plano, Tara Jackson of Plano and Shelby Leslie of Wichita Falls.  She is also survived by her sister Sherry Susan Bean of Lewisville and brothers: John Manning Brissel, Jr. of El Paso and Terry O'Grady of Oklahoma City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Celebration of life will be held at South Oak Amenity Center in Oak Point, TX on December 29, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
