Rosetta M. Leary, 86, of Commerce passed away Sunday evening November 1, 2020 in Commerce. She was born on March 21, 1934 in Sulphur Springs to Roosevelt Pannell and Verter Lee Moore Pannell.  Rosetta worked many years at East Texas State University (now Texas A&M Commerce) in the building maintenance.

Rosetta raised all her children up at Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Commerce under Bishop LK McGill was pastor.  Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She never let her own health battles get her down and would always encourage you to do good.

Rosetta is survived by her daughter Rosa Douglas of Commerce; son Anthony Leary of Commerce, 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sisters Mary Wilson and Earnestine Drennon.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Wylie Charles O' Leary, sisters: Priscilla Pannell, Gladys Adair and Reba N. Parker; brothers Haskell Lee Pannell, Horace Pannell, Lawrence Pannell, Eddie Pannell and James R. Pannell.

Viewing will take place on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & son Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Lewis officiating and Bro. Devlon Drennon eulogist.  Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.

Pallbearer are Avin Johnson, Myreo Sampson, Garrick Sampson, Scotty Walker, Ken Henry and Eddie Pannell.  Honorary  pallbearers  are Adrian Robertson, Michael Sims, Michael Henry, Shawn Pannell and Kerry Pannell.

Face masks are required for those attending the viewing and service.
