Roger Kizer

Roger Dale Kizer, 58, died October 13, 2010 at his home in Commerce after a three year battle with Cancer.

He was born May 26, 1952 in Commerce, Texas; son of Vernon Howard and Mary Maggilen Rollen Kizer. He married Jo Lynne, the love of his life, on April 28, 1990. Roger served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed by Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years, but his true passion was his horses and cows. He was happiest when he was sitting on top of his horse, whether it was for pleasure or working cows and we're certain that God had a horse saddled and waiting for him when he got to Heaven.

Roger is survived by his mother, Mary Kizer of Commerce; a son, Vernon Kizer and wife, Mendy of Lone Oak; two daughters Michelle Kizer of Commerce and Theresa Sadler and husband, Jay of Lone Oak; two step-sons, Cary Bryant and wife, Beth of Hope, KS, and Mitch Bryant of Hope, KS; a sister, Beulah Gilbreath and husband, Truitt of Ft. Worth; his grandchildren: Chase Kizer, Morgan Turner, Hailey Kizer, Sarah Kizer, Jack Kizer, Jessi Sadler, Bruce Sadler, H.D. Davis, Kristy Bryant, Ty Bryant, Gus Bryant, Chelsea Bryant, Shelby Bryant, Brody Bryant, Kylie Jo Bryant; two great-grandchildren; and a niece, Teri Gilbreath.

He is preceded in death by his wife and his father.
