Rogene McCrummen

Rogene Doyle McCrummen, 93, of Commerce, passed away in the early hours of Monday, February 10, 2020 at Oak Manor Nursing Home.

Rogene was born June 14, 1926, in Wolfe City, Texas, to Jim and Verner (Bieber) Doyle. Rogene was a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce, Texas, for several years. She enjoyed singing in the choir. Rogene faithfully served at Commerce High School and loved her job.

She is survived by a host of family members. Donna Dodson, Terry Dodson, Jerry McCrummen, Francis McCrummen, Ronnie McCrummen, Kim Chandler, Carl Chandler, Clifford McCrummen, Doris McCrummen, Sue Harris, Roy Lee Henry, Gary Lewis, she is also survived by her niece Vanessa Doan and many other nieces and nephews.

Rogene was preceded in death by Buford McCrummen her husband, Jim Doyle her father, Verner Bieber Doyle her mother, Ruby Carter her sister, Myrtle Blair her sister, Jimmy Doyle her brother, Imogene Dodson her sister, Betty Doyle Lewis her cousin and 13 brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

Family requests donations be made in memory of Rogene McCrummen to First Baptist Church, 1401 Washington St, Commerce Texas 75428.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home, 1209 Live Oak St. Commerce Texas.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 1401 Washington St. Commerce Texas with Pastor Kris Myers officiating.

Pallbearers will be Carl Chandler, Terry Dodson, Jerry McCrummen, Ronny McCrummen, Roy Lee Henry and Gary Lewis.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Anderson, Charlie Cloud, Lupe Martinez, Richard Norton, Wes Brewer, Michael Ryder and Blake Cooper.

Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 South R.L Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas. 75232.
