Robert Winston Shaver, Jr., born on July 30, 1951, departed this life on November 25, 2024, in Greenville, Texas. Age seventy-three at the time of his passing, Robert is remembered fondly for his vibrant personality and unique sense of humor. Family friends will always cherish his remarkable Klingon impressions and a repertoire of impersonations that could light up any room. A fan of the show M.A.S.H., Robert found joy in the laughter and camaraderie shared with those around him.
Robert honorably served in the United States Air Force, exemplifying a commitment to his country that he held dear throughout his life. His courage and loyalty both in service and in his personal life were a testament to his character.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, including his daughter, Ashley Crowder and her husband Jeramy Crowder. He was a proud grandfather to Isaiah Branch (Harmony Willaby) of Commerce, Moses Branch (Denise Anderson) of Commerce, Jeramyah Crowder (Micah) of Arkansas, T'Nyah Meadors (Chris Monterroza) of Commerce, and Ashlyn Crowder of Commerce. Robert also was a devoted great-grandfather to Liam Branch and Ivonna Anderson.
In addition to his immediate family, Robert is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Matthews and Ed Matthews, along with a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss his warmth and jovial spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Shaver Sr. and Ruth Shaver, his sisters Becky Lofton and Sarah Dreyer, and a nephew, Jarrod Lofton. Their memories are now interwoven with his, creating a tapestry of love that will endure through the generations.
