Rev. Christy Dawn LeShaw

September 30, 1974 — April 10, 2016

Rev. Christy Dawn LeShaw

Christy Dawn LeShaw was born September 30, 1974 in Sherman Texas to parents Gladys LeShaw White and David McNeal. She was raised in an extended family environment which consisted of her Mother, Grandmother Ruby LeShaw and Aunts Ruthie Patt Griffin and Mary Margaret LeShaw. She often said that with the help of the Holy Spirit, these women help to mold her into the woman she became.

She attended both Sherman and Honey Grove School Districts. In 1993, she graduated from Sherman High, as an honor student. She worked at Bonham Cable Company in Bonham TX and Rubber Maid in Greensville TX for many years. Later she attended Grayson County Nursing School and graduated in 2002, as a Registered Nurse. Throughout her nursing career, she worked in various hospitals in the North Texas areas. On November 18, 2007 she was ordained to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at Destiny Place Ministry in Frisco TX. She taught Bible Study at Prairie Estates Nursing Home, in Frisco from 2007 - 2015 In 2011, she graduated from the University of Phoenix, in Dallas with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She was employed at Windhaven Surgical Center in Plano TX from May 2007 – 2016.

She attended Park Meadow Church in Corsicana TX.

Christy has fought a good fight in both her Christian journey and in the battle for her health. Her life wasn’t easy but through it all she traveled the road that the LORD placed before her as a true Servant of God should. She loved Jesus with all her heart. She lived above reproach. She loved and cared for her fellowman. She feed the hungry and sheltered the homeless. She witnessed to others about the saving grace of God. And when death stared her in her face she stared back and said “you may take my body but you can’t touch my spirit because I belong to Jesus. In Him, I live on.”

Christy will truly be missed by all who love and care for her. She leaves behind her Mother: Gladys White of The Colony TX, a beloved Sister: Asona Bowen of Baton Rouge LA, Uncle, Aunts and a host of beloved Cousins. Earth has no pain that heaven cannot heal. So, through it all, we continue to give GOD the glory for His servant Rev. Christy Dawn LeShaw, RN.
