Rechenda "Shunda Kay" Savage Chism

Rechenda "Shunda Kay" Chism, 37, passed away in Galveston on Thursday, November 1, 2012. She was a former resident of Commerce and a Certified Nurses Assistant.

She was born in Commerce on October 14, 1975, to Mildred Faye Morris and Donnie Joe Savage. In June, 2005, she married Gary Chism in Sulphur Springs.

Preceding her in death are her daughter, Jazmine Cork; her grandmothers: Jimmie Lee Savage and Bertha Morris; and, her grandfathers: Booker T. Savage and Spencer Morris.

Survivors include her husband; her parents; her son, Brandarious Brown (Haley); her daughter, Deja Cork; her brothers: Heath Aubrey (Latasha), and Donnie Savage Jr. (Reba); her sister, Bertha Michelle Savage (Ashley); her step-mother, Charlotte Aubrey; and, her best friend, Rachel Adair.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Jones- Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Pruitt officiating.

Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
