Oma Mae Hevron

Oma Mae Burt Hevron, 90, of Commerce passed away in Justin, TX on September 26, 2010.

Mae was born in Fairlie, TX to W. E. (Willie) and Zora Lee Flowers Burt on December 31, 1919. She graduated from Fairlie High School in 1937 and married Carl William Hevron in December 19, 1939 in Greenville, TX. In 1940 she completed Texas Beauty College and owned Modern Beauty Salon from 1967-1985 and retired in 1996. Mae loved gardening, cooking, traveling, and was an animal lover. She was a Life Long member of The Eastern Star and was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Hevron and spouse, Ronnie Alexander; a Brother, Kenneth Rawls Burt of Carthage; grand children: Carl Scott Alexander and spouse, Pam of Commerce and Lori Beth Alexander of Flower Mound; great grand children: James Blake Alexander and spouse, Angelina of Paris and Miranda Nicole Alexander of Frisco; and a great great grandchild, James David Alexander of Paris.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, both parents, brothers Halland Dwain Burt and William Odis (Bill) Burt.

Visitation will be held at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home in Commerce on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Rosemound Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Henderson officiating.
