Novis Kent

Novis Kent, 87, of Commerce passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at her residence.

Novis was born on January 9, 1923 in Miller Grove to John and Zella Johnson Massey. She married Earnest Kent on June 10, 1944 in Greenville.

She is survived by her two children: David Kent and Kim Bruce, grandchildren: Kasey and Courtney Kent, Kerryn Pecina, Amanda Bruce, and Michael Bruce and her great-grandchildren William Palon Ray, Leona Tabi Ray, Grabrielle Pecina and Gabryl Pecina; and a special friend, Mary Wilson.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, and her brothers and sisters: Paul Massey, Mabel Bagwell, Sidney Massey, Vera Bagwell, Dorothy Darling, John Massey, Verna Massey, and Vada Massey.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel and the burial at Stewart Cemetery in Campbell, Texas.

Pallbearers are Mike Massey, Marty Massey, Len Massey, Jay O'Neal, Donnie Thomas, and Lenton Moore.

Don Drewry is an Honorary Pallbearer.

Visitation is Monday, March 22, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
