MSGT. Stephen A. Young III

Stephen A. Young III, 72, of Commerce passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013.

Mr. Young was born in Fremont, Ohio, on October 29, 1940, to Irene Fisher and Stephen August Young II. On November 8, 1974, he married Evelyn Justice in Las Vegas, NV.

He was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. While serving his country he received many medals, including the Vietnam Veteran Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal .

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; his son, Troy Armstrong (Danielle) of Fremont, Ohio; his daughter, Becky Glass of Commerce; his brothers: Charlie and Bob; his sisters: Carol, Cindy, Janet and Janice; his 11 grandchildren: Adam, Steven, Melissa, Tisha, Courtney, Matt, C. J., Jessica, Christina, Billy and Zach; and his 19 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donnie; his sisters: Judy and Patricia; and, his granddaughter, Shelby.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel.
