Melba Wilson Clayton

Melba Wilson Clayton, 68 of Greenville - formerly of Commerce - passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017.

Melba Wilson Clayton was born in Commerce, Texas, on July 24, 1948, to Coy lee Dickey and John Henry Wilson. She was a Home Health Aide.

Survivors include her children: Jimmy Chadwick Clayton and wife Crystal of Greenville and Marcia Lois Vazquez and husband Eduardo of Dallas; her grandchildren: Samantha Clayton of Dallas, Danielle Clayton of Dallas, Alexandra Clayton of Leonard, Justin Clayton of Greenville, Colton Clayton of Greenville, Trenton Clayton of Greenville and Cameron Clayton also of Greenville; her great-grandson, Miles Robert Lane Harrison of Dallas; her sisters: Sally Millsap, Mereta McKay, Barbara Coffman, Linda Coffman; and, her brother, Kenneth Wilson. Melba is also survived by her friend and former spouse, Jimmy Ray Clayton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy Lee and John Henry Wilson and her siblings: Mary Roland, Ina Ruth Moreland, Betty Moreland, Shirley Morgan, James Lee Wilson, Carrol Wayne Wilson and Johnnie Ray Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home in Commerce.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at Horton Cemetery in the Horton Community in Delta County, with Bro. Terry Bryan officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jeff McKay, Bruce McKay, Jeff Moreland, Rodney Hall, Jason Crouch and Danny Roland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Wilson, Joe Gilly, Michail Miller and Anthony Kelly.

Graveside service follows visitation.
