Mary Ann Stevenson, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, peacefully departed this life on February 14, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by thoughts of her cherished family and the memories that defined her warm spirit. Born on February 28, 1954, in her hometown of Honey Grove, Texas, Mary lived a life marked by quiet strength and enduring kindness.
Mary dedicated many years of her professional life to Bonham Manufactory, where she fostered lasting friendships until its closure. She continued her career at Graham Packaging in Dallas, from which she retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment to her craft.
Educated within the comforting embrace of her hometown, Mary attended and graduated from Honey Grove schools. Her roots in Honey Grove not only shaped her educational journey but also instilled in her a gentle, friendly demeanor that endeared her to many. Even as a quiet presence, she had the unique ability to light up a room with her genuine warmth and kindness.
In her passing, she leaves behind a devoted family. Her daughter, Gunellia Stevenson (Kelvin), reside in Dallas, offering her grandchildren the nurturing and loving family environment she so valued. Her three sons, Wayne Stevenson (Melody) of Bonham, Cedric Stevenson of Honey Grove, and Allan Stevenson of Bonham, all fondly remember a mother whose love was unconditional and whose support was unwavering. Her siblings—brothers Jerry Gray (Rebecca) and William Stan Stevenson (Glenda), along with sister Carolyn Stevenson, and sister Sonia Woods (Stacy)—also carry cherished memories of a sister who brought joy and laughter into their lives. The family is blessed with six loving grandchildren: Torrus Stevenson, Brenna Kinchen, Monica Stevenson, Gabe Miller, Addyson Miller, Tae Stevenson and Milena Stevenson, who will forever hold her close in their hearts. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Veda Bell Stevenson and Robert Anderson, whose teachings and love laid the foundation for the strong values she passed down to her own family.
The Funeral Service honoring Mary Ann Stevenson will be held on February 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Christian Chapel CME in Honey Grove, Texas. As friends and family gather, they will celebrate the legacy of a truly remarkable woman whose quiet presence will be profoundly missed. In the memories she created and the love she shared, Mary Ann will remain forever in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
Pallbearers will be Bakari Mackey, Glen Frazier, Richard Bates, Ronald Bateman, Jordan Woods and Joshua Woods.
