Mary M. Dove

Mary M. Dove, born August 17, 1928, in Morgantown, WV, entered eternal life on July 2, 2010, at her home in Cooper, TX. She moved to Texas to be with her older son's family in 1996.

Mary was a devoted homemaker who took excellent care of her family and was especially devoted to her grandchildren. She was an accomplished seamstress who sewed for her family and the American Cancer Society. Mary was quite proud of the fact that she made nearly all of her own clothes and continued to do so as long as she was physically able. She was extremely generous and would often put her needs second to others, putting-off buying something for herself so she could, instead, get something for some other member of the family.

As she got older and went through a long battle with several serious medical conditions over the last several years, she seemed to survive on will power and determination to continually defy the odds and recover over and over. At last she finally met her match and was unable to defeat her last illness, which saddened her as she felt that she did not get to complete all of her self-appointed duties to her family. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gene Dove; her parents, Early L. Moore and Audry A. Moore; and, her brother, Carl Moore and his wife Eilene Moore. She leaves behind a brother and sister and many cousins as well as several brother and sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her two sons: J. Rob Dove and David A. Dove. Rob and his wife Marcie M Dove and their three children Thomas R. Dove, M. Terri Dove, and Tracey A Dove continue to remember her in Texas,; and, David and his wife, Roberta Dove, carry her memory in West Virginia.
