Marcus Keith Woods

Marcus Keith Woods, a beloved member of the Ladonia community, was born on April 24, 1967, in Dallas, Texas. His journey came to an end on February 15, 2026, in his hometown of Ladonia, where he was known and cherished by many.

A proud graduate of Fannindel High School, Marcus excelled in all sports and garnered numerous scholarship offers due to his athletic prowess. His dedication to sports was matched only by his commitment to lifelong friendships that he cultivated throughout his life. Known for his quick wit and an abiding love of music, he left a lasting impression on all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Marcus is survived by his loving mother, Rosa Blair Woods; his sister, Norma Woods; his brothers, Stacy Woods and his wife Sonia, and Frederick Woods along with his sister, Linda Clear. He is also remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, as well as countless friends and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his father, Oliver Woods.

A funeral service will be held in his honor on February 20, 2026, at Pleasant Grove C.M.E. Church, located at 2381 FM 64 in Ladonia, TX. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and will be officiated by Rev. Eric Griffin with eulogist Bro. Stacy Woods.  Pallbearers will be Vic McCain, Jarette Scott, Brian Doyle, Greg Brown, Jeff Scott and Larry King.

Marcus Keith Woods will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
