Lula "Faye" Wiese Swindell

Faye Swindell, 95, of Garland, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 in Dallas, Texas, after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 16, 1922, in Rule, Texas to Marx Wiese and Allie Mae (Dendy) Wiese. On March 15, 1951, Faye married William (Bill) Agnew Swindell.

Faye was the executive secretary to three Texas Governors, she also was owner and operator of the Sage Motel in Commerce, Texas, for seventeen years. She was an active member of the Lovers Lane Methodist Church in Dallas.

Faye is survived by her beloved son, Shane Swindell of Garland, Texas, her sister Pauline Ericson of Charleston, South Carolina and a host of loving friends.

She was preceded in death by he parents: Allie May and Marx Wiese, her husband William (Bill) Swindell, her son, Will Swindell and her sister, Dorothy Peterson.

A celebration of Faye's life will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. in the Jones-Walker & Son Chapel.

Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
