Loyce Waits, 82, of Celeste passed away on Friday morning April 17, 2026. He was born in Athens, Texas located in Henderson County on February 9, 1944, to Henry Dean Waits and Rena Ray (Green) Waits.
Loyce is survived by his daughters: Holly McKay (Jeffrey), Rena Rané Waits (Keith Schnacke) and son, Kyle Waits; grandchild Dylan McKay (Brooke) and great-grandchild Rosalie McKay.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Gilbert, Johnny, James Weldon, Earnest, Henry Jr. and sisters Edna Hunt, Wanda Jones, Bettye Ruth (Corky) Ford, Mazaline Rummelhart and his twin sister Joyce Waits, along with several nieces and nephews.
The Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Bonham VA staff members for their care over the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
