Lora E. Taylor

Lora E. Taylor of Commerce passed away at the Hunt Regional Memorial Center on February, 17, 2010.

Lora was 101 years young and was born January 18, 1909 in Booneville, AK to Jesse and Iva Matthews Wilson.

She is survived by five grandchildren: Brody Burrell of Commerce, Cindi Jenkins of Taylor, Gary Wright of Garland, Philip Wright of Garland, and Joe Coward of Terrell, a sister; Dortha Stooksberry of San Angelo; fifteen great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; one great great great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her two daughters: Kathaleen Wright and Rhuedell Burrell; three brothers: Marvin Wilson, Jesse Wilson, and J.M. Wilson; and three sisters: Opal Jemison, Edith Waford, and Dora Wilson; and her parents.

Services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at Jones-Walker and Son Chapel at 3:00 pm with Brother Terry Bryan officiating and the burial to follow at Horton Cemetery.

Visitation will precede the service an hour.
