Lloyd Dean Newman

Lloyd Dean Newman, 62, of Campbell, Texas made his trip to Heaven to be with his Lord on Monday morning, January 20, 2014. Lloyd Dean was born on March 30, 1951 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Lloyd Ray Newman and Juanita Cozene Duncan.

On March 25, 1977, Lloyd Dean married Bonnie Colette Dodd Newman of Klondike. During their almost 37 years of marriage they became the parents of a daughter Jessica Lynn Newman Duckworth and husband Jonathan of Cooper and a son Brandon Lane Newman and wife Melissa Reeves Newman of Whitburn West Lothian Scotland. These children blessed the Newman's with five grandchildren. Jonathan and Jessica Duckworth had EmmaLee Christina Duckworth, Samuel Troy Dean Duckworth and Lillee Ann Kate Duckworth of Cooper. Brandon and Melissa had Haley DeNae Newman and Alexis Laine Newman of Scotland.

Lloyd Dean was a draftsman by trade and served about 20 years as a Deacon in his church. Lloyd Dean is survived by his wife, his children, grandchildren, his mother Cozene Newman, a sister Lynette Alafonzo and husband John and a sister Teresa Thorwald and husband Jon all of Quitman.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014. The funeral will be on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Jones-Walker and Son funeral home in Commerce, Texas. Rev. Kyle Bateman, Rev, Jerry Wilkerson and Rev. Danny Alexander will be officiating.

Interment will follow in Humboldt Cemetery, Campbell, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Jack Newman, Darrell Butler, Dale Owens, Billy Wilks, Sid Davis and Chris Boggs.
