Lena Mae Hale

Lena Mae (Ham) Hale, 84, of Commerce passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014.

Lena was born in Linden, Texas, on August 10, 1930, to Ora Lee Hobbs Ham and Edger M. Ham. She married H. R. (Pete) Ham on June 6, 1948.

Survivors include her three daughters: Barbara Maxfield of Blossom, Doris Waters of Paris and Donna Hester of Bastrop; her two sons: Charles Hale of Mansfield and Mike Hale of Campbell; her grandchildren: Rene Ivins, Shawn Waters, Sonya Mallett, Sam Cunningham, John Hale, Paige Hale, David Hale, Rachel Blair, Sarah Hale, Hannah Hale, Esther Schatte, Daniel Hale, Andrew Hale, Peter Hale, Tracy Collins, Terry Maxfield, James Lucas, Samantha Lindsey and Wayne Lucas; and, 23 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Thelma Moore of Marietta.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Roy Hale; and, her parents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Commerce with Dr. Jeff Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at Stewart Cemetery, Campbell, Texas.

Pallbearers will be John Hale, Daniel Hale, Andrew Hale, Peter Hale, Samuel Schatte and Caleb Hutchins.
