Larry Dean Lindsey

Larry Lindsey, 61, of Commerce passed away Friday, August 30, 2013.

Larry was born in Greenville, on August 28, 1952, to Horace Franklin Lindsey and Lola Mae Lucille Lindsey. He had many interests; fishing, stand-up comedy, boxing and woodwork, he had even acquired a trophy in boxing, but his greatest love was his family.

Survivors include his son, Nakia Dean Lindsey of Cumby, his grandchildren; Colby Dean Lindsey, Colten Wayne Lindsey, Bailey Renee Bloyed, Kaylee Ann Bloyed, Montgomery Lee Benton and his sister Diana Parker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Billy Lindsey, and, his two sisters Betty Lewis and Evelyn Gillingham.

The Family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

The time we had, Dad, wasn't nearly enough
to pack in an entire lifetime of Love.

There are so many questions
that I need answers to.
But now that your gone
theres no way to ask you.

But there are still photos
to remember you by,
each time I look at them,
I still want to cry.

They say grief is easier
to bear as time goes by,
but that doesn't stop me
from wondering why?

Why my dear, sweet dad
was taken so soon, when he was my guiding star,
my sun and my moon.

There are no answers
to questions like this,
so I'll cherish your memory
and mourn the years we"ll miss.
