Johnnie Faye Schmid

Johnnie Faye Schmid, 83, of Commerce, passed away at her residence in Commerce, May 2, 2024.  She was born in Gilmer, TX on May 27, 1940 to Sara Zelda McClelland.  She was a homemaker and raised her children.

Johnnie is survived by her daughter Teressa Lynn Koonce of Gilmer and son William Keith Lawson of Commerce; grandchildren Alisha Koonce and Jeremy Koonce of Longview.

She was preceded in death by her mother, sisters: Bonnie Forde and Virginia Evans; brother Junior Leon McClelland.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Floyd Cemetery in Gilmer, TX.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Koonce and Steve Scott.
