Gail Malone

Jimmie “Gail” Malone, 78 of Wolfe City Texas passed peacefully in her home on August 5th, 2026. Born on February 13th, 1948 to Hazel Bernice Cummings and James Tillman Allen in Texarkana, Texas. She was the youngest of three girls and was adored by her older sisters.

As a child, she moved often, never staying in one place for very long. But when she found the love of her life, Frankie Malone, she finally found a place to call home. They were married on November 20, 1965. Together, they put down roots in Wolfe City, where she would spend the rest of her life building a home, a family, and a lifetime of cherished memories.

In her early years, she devoted herself to raising her children and creating a loving home for her family. When her children entered school, she began a long and dedicated career with Ennis Tag and Label, where she worked in production line inspection for more than 20 years. She took pride in her work and in the many years she spent as part of the Ennis Tag and Label family.

Outside of work, she found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved crocheting, reading, gardening, and camping, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Some of her fondest memories were made around a campsite, sharing laughter, stories, and time together with the people she loved most.

Her faith was not measured by the number of Sundays she sat in a church pew, but by the way she lived her life each day. She showed her faith through kindness, compassion, generosity, and the way she cared for others.

She had a particularly special place in her heart for adults with disabilities. She was actively involved in their community, coaching Special Olympics and coordinating trips to athletic events. She gave her time freely, creating opportunities for others to participate, compete, travel, and experience the joy of being part of a team. Her service to others was simply an extension of who she was—a woman who believed that everyone deserved to be included, encouraged, and loved.

One of the greatest examples of her selfless heart came later in life, when, at the age of 50, she and her husband took on the responsibility of raising her nonverbal autistic grandson. At a time when many people were beginning to think about retirement and a slower pace of life, she chose instead to open her home and her heart to a child who needed her. She embraced that responsibility with the same quiet determination and unconditional love she had shown throughout her life. She never viewed caring for him as a sacrifice, but she did simply what family does—love, protect, and be there when you’re needed.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Frankie Malone, son, Mark Malone (Monica), daughters Jamie Moore (Brad) and Deonna Malone. Grandchildren Reid Malone (Sara), Zach Lewallen, Erin Moore (Gage Parker), Neil Malone, Emma Moore and Eli Moore. She was blessed with two great grandchildren Callahan Malone and Lorali Malone. She looked forward to the birth of a third in September. She is also survived by sisters Barbara Henderson and Brenda Juracak (Johnny), sister in laws Terrie Felty, Melinda Sheilds (Jack), Judy Swinson (Joe), Linda Malone and Cathy Malone along with many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for Sunday, August 16th 2:00pm at Fairlie Home Place.
