Janice Tate

Janice Tate, 82, of Commerce passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at her residence with family at her side. Janice was born to Robert Leon Sansing and Leon Ruth Roland on March 14, 1944.  She was married to David R. Tate.  She worked for years at East Texas State University (East Texas A&M) and Covidian.

She is survived by her husband David R. Tate, sister Linda Foster, niece Jessica, nephews: Robert Matlock, Ronald Matlock, Mitchell Matlock and wife Dianna, Cary Sansing and  Wade Sansing  She is also survived by a host of other nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Donald Ray Sansing.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the Pecan Gap Cemetery with Bro. Terry Bryan officiating.
