Jason Thomas Madden, 47, of Commerce passed away at Hunt Regional Hospital of Commerce on Sunday, July 9, 2023. He was born on November 3, 1975 in El Paso, TX to Walter Madden and Debbie MacWhorter.

Jason had a heart of gold and would gladly give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Family was very important to Jason. He tried hard to keep in touch with everyone and get everyone together. He would often help people in need. If he saw a car broken down, or a homeless person, he stopped to help.

He had a heart for those who were down and out and always reached out in whatever way he could. When he did a job, he always tried his best and was very diligent. He had a good sense of humor and laughed easily. He was very loyal to family and those he worked with.

Jason is survived by his wife Tonnie Harrison, mother Debbie Shank and husband Jim of Lubbock, father Walter Madden and wife Anna of Sanger, sons: Tyrese Parker of Commerce, Antonio Parker of Bonham; step-daughter Anastasia Sorrels; sisters: Jeanine Shank of Richmond, VA, Megan Madden and Skylar Madden both of Denton and Erin Templain of Sanger; brothers: Tony Madden of Cleburne, Matthew Shank and wife Paige of Arlington, Nicholas Madden of Corsicana and Brian Dick of Sanger. He is also survived by grandparents John and Carol Mason.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son.
