Grant Samuel Tipps

Grant Samuel Tipps, 25, of McKinney passed away on Thursday afternoon, February 25, 2021 in Plano, TX.  Grant was born on June 11, 1995 in Greenville to Eddie Dewayne Tipps and Rachel Annette Dawson.  Grant spent his entire life as an overcomer, having to make all the adjustments necessary for his special needs; which he did well. He loved anything dealing with the outdoors: hunting, fishing, and camping , to mention a few. Grant had an infectious laugh and sense of humor that often was displayed as he picked on people. He also enjoyed meeting new people and getting to know them.  Some of his indoor activities included his loving to watch the old westerns on TV. Another memorable thing about Grant was that you never had to guess where he stood on a topic; he would gladly speak his mind so that you would have no doubts about it!

Grant is survived by his siblings; Amber Shive and husband Jason, Cody Giles and wife Michelle, Justin Lynn Tipps and wife Lauren Jones, Jason Lee Tipps and wife Caitlyn Weeden, Kayla Ann Tipps and husband Johnathan Shirley, Jimmy Allen Tipps, Stacy Kay Tipps and John Wayne Tipps; grandmother Barbara Tipps.  He is also survived by his dad, Dale Giles, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairle.  Funeral service be at 1:00 P.M.  Burial will follow the service at Mt.Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.

Pallbearers will be Cody Giles, Justin Tipps, Jason Tipps, Jason Shive, Jeremy Myers and Clint Dawson.  Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Allen Tipps and John Wayne Tipps.

I got to know Grant through Camp Summit! Grant was such a great guy who knew how to have fun. I will miss our van rides giving each other a hard time the whole time! Rest in peace Grant!
