Gladys Marie Allen

Gladys Marie Allen, 69, of Bonham and formerly of Honey Grove, passed away on Saturday afternoon December 13, 2025, at her residence in Bonham. Gladys was born January 3, 1956, the youngest of eight children born to Anderson "Bud" Allen and Minnie Faye Allen.  Gladys was born in Honey Grove and received her schooling education in the Honey Grove schooling system.

Gladys has always had a passion of helping others, that lead to her working in the healthcare field for many years providing selfless and gentle patient care to her clients.  Gladys also had a love for cooking and baking specifically her famous and delicious "Caramel Cakes" which was always a family favorite.

Gladys was a faithful member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Honey Grove.

Those who welcomed Gladys Marie to her heavenly home along side our Lord and Savior are her mother and father, Minnie and Anderson "Bud" Allen; brothers Leon Allen, Tommy Allen, Roy Allen and Robert Allen; sisters Dorothy Allen Finney, Laura Faye Perry and Albrader Allen.

Gladys Marie leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons: Laney Allen (Samantha) and Desmick Allen; grandchildren Keona Finney, Tyme Williams and Ashanti McGee.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives that loved her dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Chapel with Supt. Kendall McAfee officiating.
