Gene Everett McKenzie

Gene Everett McKenzie, 70, went to be with the Lord at his home in Commerce on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. He served his country proudly as a member of the United States Marine Corps.

Gene is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jessie McKenzie; his daughters: Nita McCrary and family and Sarah Girlie; his three sons: Ricky McKenzie, Wayne Hilliard and family, and Robert Davison and family; his brother, Harold Myers and family; honorary brothers: Gary W Gore and Frank Tue; 21 grandchildren; and, 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010, in the First United Methodist Church of Commerce.
