Eric L. Shaw

Eric "E-Love" Shaw, 44, of Honey Grove was called home to join his Heavenly Host of Angels and recieved his wings on Friday, November 15, 2013.

Eric was born October 23, 1969, to Jewel Shaw and Ola Lee Shaw in Sherman, TX. He was a life long resident of Honey Grove and a graduate of Honey Grove High School. Eric loved every sport played at Honey Grove; and, he was loved and respected by the players, coaches and the fans.

Eric united and was a member of Christian Chapel CME Church at an early age.

He leaves to cherish his memories his Dad, Jewel Shaw of Honey Grove; his grandmother, Zelema Allen of Honey Grove; his brother, Jewel Shaw of New Boston; his sisters: Michelle (Kenneth) Shaw of Honey Grove, Kim (Cedric) Barksdale of Greenville and Lisa Bennett of Bonham; his special aunts: Veralene Couts, Leeola Chaffin, Beulah Perkins, Claudia Couts, Pam Brown and Lois Gaines; his uncles: Choice Johnson, Tommy Couts, James Chaffin, Ray Clyde Gaines; and, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Eric could always be found somewhere with his special friends: Charles Griffin, Ray Bateman and Charles Rushing.

A special "Thank You" is given to Paul Puckett and staff at Puckett Family Clinic.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 1:00 P.M at Honey Grove High School with Rev. Esther F. Lawson officiating and Rev. Cedric Barksdale as eulogist.

Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. .

Pallbearers will be Glen Frazier, Charles Griffin, Patrick Johnson, Corey Johnson, Jerald Brown and Eric Pevey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Shaw, Brent Johnson, Jason Johnson, Derick Couts, Michael Plummer, Michael Couts, Freddie Bean and the athletes and coaches of Honey Grove ISD.
