Elizabeth L. Robertson

Elizabeth Lavina Robertson, 89, of Commerce passed away August 18, 2012, at Briarcliff Nursing Home in Greenville, TX.

Betty was born in St. Louis Mo. October 18, 1922 to Claude and Viola Logan. She spent her early childhood in Mo. & then her family moved to Encinitas CA. During WWll she was a riveter at a plant in Los Angeles & then became one of the first Female Butchers for Safeway in Southern CA.

She married her husband a career U.S.Marine, Raymond Melvin Robertson on August 3, 1955, in Yuma Az. Betty and Raymond lived several places in the U.S before settling in Commerce TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother; Jimmy Logan and daughter-inlaw Nancy Johnson.

She is survived by her son; William Johnson of Warren Ohio, daughter and son-inlaw Theresa & James Pemberton of Cumby, TX.; 8 loving grandchildren, 13- great grandchildren, and many good friends at Oak Manor.

Services are scheduled at Rosemound Cemetery at a later date.
