Edwina Threlkeld

Edwina Threlkeld, 87, of Commerce passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in Greenville.

Edwina was born in Commerce, Texas, on July 23, 1929, to Opal Lands and Joe Ward Davis. She was a secretary for ETSU. Edwina was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and loved nothing more than spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include her three daughters: Sharron Swinson (James), Carin Peggram (Danny), and Linda Baron (Dick); her seven grandchildren; and, her twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Threlkeld; her parents, Opal and Joe Davis; and, her sister, Annie Glover & family, and, grandson James Ray Swinson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie with Bro. Greg Horn officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Wilson, Kyle Swinson, Cameron Oats, Cason Oats, Tate Wilson and Nick Knight.
