Donald Wayne Holladay

October 25, 1943 — October 11, 2025

Paris, TX

Donald Wayne Holladay, affectionately known as Don, was born on October 25, 1943, in Oxnard, California. He left this world peacefully on October 11, 2025, in Paris, Texas. Don’s journey through life was marked by a strong sense of duty and a passion for learning and service.

After completing his education at Ventura Junior College and Laverne University, where he earned both an Associate's and Bachelor's degree, Don dedicated a significant chapter of his life to public service as a member of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department in California. His commitment to his community was a core part of who he was, and he served with honor and integrity throughout his career.

A proud veteran, Don served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and received an honorable discharge. His military service reflected his dedication to his country and his willingness to contribute to a greater cause.

Don was known for his enthusiastic love of classic cars from the 50s and 60s, a passion that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with others who shared similar interests. His appreciation for these iconic vehicles was a reflection of his vibrant personality and his enjoyment of life's finer details.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his beloved granddaughter, Courtney J. Holladay, and his siblings: Bobby J. Holladay, Jerry R. Holladay, Larry D. Holladay, Peggy J. Hallett, and Diana J. Hynes. They cherished his presence and the unique bond they shared, and his memory will forever be an integral part of their lives.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Elzie R. Holladay and Edna V. West Holladay, and his son, Michael C. Holladay. Their absence leaves a profound emptiness, but the legacy of love and the memories shared will continue to shine brightly through those who knew and loved him.

As we remember Don Holladay, we celebrate a life dedicated to service, family, and passion. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
