Delia "Ruth" Bryan

A sweet reunion was held in heaven Monday evening October 24, 2016 as Ruth Bryan completed her earthly journey and took up residence in her heavenly home. Her 88 years here began on March 24, 1928 in the Beardstown area of Lamar County Texas. This was the day she blessed Gaines Griffith and Delia Belle Jordan Griffith by becoming their “Baby Ruth”, the last of the six children born to them.

Ruth married the love of her life Kenneth A. Bryan on March 24, 1948 and began a journey lasting 44 years until the time of his going on ahead of her into heaven. During their time together, she displayed the same attributes as her biblical namesake as she accompanied and gave her full support to Ken as they made their home all across the country. Theirs truly was a match made in heaven.

Ruth leaves behind her two sons: Kenneth D. Bryan and wife Ginny of Waskom, Texas and Terry G. Bryan and wife Cathy of Sulphur Springs, Texas. Her legacy also includes 7 grandchildren: Shawn Bryan and wife Tiffany of Sulphur Springs, Ken Daniel Bryan of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mark Germany and wife Shea of Allen, Texas, Sarah Maxfield and husband David of Weatherford, Texas, Chelsey Holladay and husband Jon of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Seth Bryan and Nathan Bryan of Sulphur Springs, Texas. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren including: Brooke, Katie and Matthew Bryan of Sulphur Springs, Ella and Eden Maxfield of Weatherford, Texas and Leila and Aly Holladay of Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Mamoo will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, her loving and caring ways, her loyalty and devotion to her husband and children and the wonderful example she set for the survivors that remain.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas, at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
