David Lavon Grant, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in Campbell, Texas on June 25, 2026, with his daughters by his side. Born on July 3, 1948, in Greenville, Texas, David’s life spanned nearly eight decades filled with devotion to family, meaningful work, and a love for simple pleasures.

David was a dedicated employee at Rubbermaid, where he served as a Set Up Technician and ultimately retired. His commitment and work ethic left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of working alongside him. Beyond his career, David’s true joy was found in the company of his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, whether sharing stories or passing along life’s lessons.

Among his many proud accomplishments, David counted his children and grandchildren as his greatest. He is also survived by his sister and brother in law Helen and Sam Andrews. David was especially fond of his time teaching Alex, guiding him through life’s nuances and sharing his wisdom—an experience he treasured deeply.

David’s interests spoke to his appreciation for both history and the land. He enjoyed collecting guns, knives, and coins, and took great pleasure in raising cows and donkeys. Whether tending to his animals or admiring a new addition to his collection, David found peace and fulfillment in these pursuits. Most of all, he loved being surrounded by family, embracing every opportunity to create lasting memories together.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine Grant; his mother, Marie Sparkes; his father, Clarance Lavon Grant; his sisters, Fannie Mae Maddox, Carolyn Ann Hawkins, and Debbie Sue Grant; and his brother, Huey Preston Cole.
