Charlotte Jean Embro

Charlotte Jean (Williams) Embro of Commerce, TX, passed away in Rockwall, TX, on July 9, 2015 at the age of 71. Charlotte was born on January 30, 1944, in Rolla, MO, to Kenneth Williams and Leta Patricia (Bramel) Williams. She was a graduate of Rolla High School class of 1962.

Charlotte is survived by three brothers: Douglas Williams of Commerce, TX, Richard Williams and wife Alberta of Rolla, MO, and Kenny Williams and wife Ann of Cuba, MO. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Tiffany Templeton and husband Derek of Blue Springs, MO, John Williams and Sammie of Blue Springs, MO, Anthony Williams and Kristin of Lees Summit, MO, Alex Williams of Blue Springs, MO, Nicholas Williams of Blue Springs, MO, Steve Williams and wife Liz, of Rolla, MO, Mark Williams and wife Rachael, of Rolla, MO, Clay Gilmore of Ardmore, OK, and Amy Morris of Ardmore, OK. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, and an uncle. Charlotte was preceded in death by Greg Williams, nephew, Dustin Williams, nephew, and Cooper Williams, great nephew. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Charlotte was a successful business owner and spent the last 35 years of her life working in property management in both California and Texas. Charlotte loved adventure and enjoyed traveling around the world. In the late 70s, Charlotte earned her pilot’s license and flew solo flights within the United States.

There will be a visitation on Friday 7/24/2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Jones-Walker Funeral Home in Commerce, TX. There will also be a visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, MO, on Thursday 7/30/2015 followed by a graveside service at Wishon Cemetery, St. James, MO. In lieu of flowers, plants may be delivered to the funeral homes or memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Humane Society of Northeast Texas, 303 Enterprise Street, Longview, TX 75604.
