Charlotte Lenise Aubrey Murphy entered her eternal rest on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of 60. She was born on March 1, 1966, in Dallas, Texas to Ruthie Mae Perry and George Henry Aubrey. Her life was marked by faith, strength, love and strong determination to leave this world a little better because she was here.
Charlotte was baptized at Fairview Baptist Church in August 1980 and lived her life in a manner that all who met and encountered her knew her faith by her kind actions and not her words. Her faith sustained her through some of life’s most challenging times and losses. She was a proud graduate of Windom High School and lived in Windom and Bonham, Texas until she gained her wings.
Charlotte enjoyed her career as a Certified Medication Aide at Bonham Nursing and Care Center and most recently in the infirmary at the Texas State Prison in Bonham, Texas for 19 years, until she retired in late 2025.
Charlote was united in marriage to the late Bruce Murphy in 2012 and they packed lots of life and love into their short time together. Reunited in eternity, they will pick up where they left off!!
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Murphy; her parents, Ruthie and George Aubrey; grandmother who raised her, Lillian Hailey and brother, Kenneth Aubrey, Sr.
Left to cherish her loving memories are her sons, Heath Aubrey and Darius Brown; sister, Althea Armstrong (Alton); nephews whom she raised, Kenneth Aubrey, Jr. and Jacob Aubrey; grandsons, Hunter and Braden; granddaughters, Acelynn, Avonah, Bexley and Paisley; sister/cousin, Vivian Fields (Charles); brother/cousins Anthony Aubrey and Lee Pittman; brother, Jerry Gray and a host of aunts, cousins, family and dear friends.
