Charles Prather Young

Charles Prather Young, 69, passed away at his home in Greenville on July 14, 2010.

Charles was born in Greenville on August 25, 1940 to Jack and Frances Prather Young Jr. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1958 and went on to college to obtain his Culinary Certification. During his many years as a chef, he owned a deli in New York City, was a chef in a 5 star restaurant in New Orleans, was the Food Service Director on the Mississippi Queen and Delta Queen Cruise ships, and retired from Aramark, an offshore drilling company, as Food Services Director/Personnel Supervisor.

Charles traveled across the globe to many exciting places and enjoyed all of his hobbies of cooking, building model airplanes, and collecting coins and bills from different countries.
