Carol Ann Newman, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away on February 12, 2026, at Briarcliff Nursing and Rehabilitation in Greenville, Texas. Born on February 8, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, Carol touched the lives of many during her remarkable journey of over 33 years as the Business Office Manager at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Commerce.

Carol’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Sherri Bond and her husband Jessie, who reside in Greenville, Texas. Her heart swells with pride when thinking of her granddaughter, Jennifer Archie and her husband Michael, also from Greenville, and her great-granddaughter, Gracie Archie, who brought immeasurable joy into her life. These relationships were not just connections but profound bonds that filled her days with love and laughter.

In her leisure time, Carol found simple pleasures in watching television and shopping, indulging in activities that provided warmth and entertainment in her daily life. Her fondness for animals often showcased her gentle spirit and kindness, deepening the affection that her family and friends had for her.

Carol is predeceased by her father, Leon Morgan, mother, Myra Peugh Morgan, and husband, DW Newman. While those she has left behind will mourn her passing, they will remember the incredible legacy of love and joy she cultivated throughout her life.

A visitation will be held on February 16, 2026, at Jones - Walker & Son Funeral Home located at 1209 Live Oak, Commerce, Texas, starting at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Ridgeway Cemetery, situated at 8481 Farm Road 2653 N, Sulphur Springs, Texas, beginning at 1:15 PM.
