Bruce Henry Landry, 61, of Pecan Gap passed away as a result of an accident on Tuesday, April 15, 2014.
Bruce was born in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, on March 29, 1953, to Ronald Landry and Margaret Oliver Landry. He was a retired mechanic.
He was married to Katy White Landry. Bruce enjoyed fishing and the outdoors; tinkering with putting cars back together; enjoyed a game of poker now and then; and, he liked his NASCAR racing. In his quiet time you would find him doing a puzzle or reading a good book; but, his greatest love was his family. Bruce was a loving, peaceful, caring and devoted man, always willing to help anyone.
Survivors include his wife Katy; his mother Margaret; his son Troy Bruce Landry of Pecan Gap; his two daughters: Kara Denise Mitchell of Hallsville and Amanda "Mandy" Renee Landry of Waco; his grandchildren: Jasey-Troy Mitchell of Hallsville, Martin Landry of Waco, Katelyn McAdams and Baylee McAdams of Longview; his brother Kevin Landry of Dallas; and, his sister Tish Baye of Westwego, LA.
He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandmother Winnie Chestnut; and, his brother Paul Landry.
A small memorial service with friends and family only will be conducted at his home in Pecan Gap on Saturday April 19, 2014, at 1:00 p.m.
There will also be a food service and gathering at Katy Landry's church - First Baptist Church, 215 W. Main St. Pecan Gap, 75469, at 3:00 p.m. For details on this gathering, please call the church at 903-359-6683.
