Billie Jo Beare

Billie Jo Beare, 84, of Mesquite, passed away Monday, August 10, 2009, in Mesquite, TX.

She was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Patrick H. Poteet and Maggie J. Petty Poteet on May 27, 1925. Billie Jo was a retired employment counselor with the State of Oklahoma.

On July 9, 1949, she married Robert F. Beare in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Survivors include her children: Jerry W. Beare, Cornelia A. Parton, Roberta J. Blocker, Patrick T. Beare, Robert F. Beare, Jr., and James H. Beare; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two brothers: Marshall Jones and Wayne Poteet.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 12, at 10:00 a.m. in The Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2801 Skyline Drive, Mesquite, TX 75149. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Interment services will be held in Duncan, Oklahoma, at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery, at 4:00 p.m. (Wednesday).
