Beverly Marie Wilson Evans "Miss Boo" 67, went home to her Lord and Savior, Thursday morning, September 7, 2017.

Beverly Marie Wilson was born December 8, 1949, the third child to loving parents Doris Marie Dugan and Johnny Randolph Wilson.

Strong in faith to the very end, Beverly joined membership with Griffith Chapel, C.M.E Church in her youth. Later she would join Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

Prior to the integration of Commerce ISD schools, fall of 1965, Beverly attended Norris Elementary and High School. Upon graduating in 1968 from Commerce High, Beverly attended the Hunt County School for Vocational Nurses.

Possessing excellent communication skills, Beverly served two tours as Communication Officer with the City of Commerce Police Department. She would also serve 10 plus years as long distance telephone operator for Gulf States United. After 22 years of devoted service in communications, Beverly retired from Texas A&M University, Commerce Police Department, still aspiring to assist mankind, she began employment with "WIN"- Women In Need, a transition home for displaced women. She was gainfully employed from January 2010 through April 2014.

In 1983 Beverly Marie and Steve Evans were united in marriage. On April 30, 2014, Steve passed on.

Beverly loved to read novels of all types and authors, she also enjoyed the art of crocheting, cooking and experimenting with new recipes and also visiting her grandsons.

Beverly departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 7, 2017, leaving to cherish her memories are son: Marcus J. "Jake" Wilson (Kathryn) of Allen Texas, daughter: Lindsey M. Evans of Commerce, grandsons; Kamden, Myles and Konner Wilson, Landon Evans, Nelson and Logan Evans-Sims; brothers: Gerald L. "Bubba" Wilson (Andrea Bernadette) of Tyler, Medley J. "George" Wilson (Barbara Ann) of Commerce, sisters: Loretta Harrison (Leon) and Patricia Kay Ward (John Wayne) of Greenville. A host of special friends included, but not limited to: special friend/sister Emma Monroe of Commerce, Laura Evans Warner of Lake Charles LA. and Melanie Clayton of Commerce.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Steve Evans and her parents Doris and Johnny Wilson, also a host of nieces nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home of Commerce.

Home going celebration for Beverly will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 1202 Champion Lane, Commerce with Rev.M.D. Massey officiating.

Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery of Commerce.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Henry, Sid McCarty, Danny Gonzales, Kenneth Van Huss, Rolando Shaw and Fabian Fields.

Honorary pallbearers will be Orlando Champion, Shaun C. Harrison, Marlon C. Ward, Jermain Zachary, Steven R. Harrison, Matthew K. Ward, Anthony G. Harrison and Steven C. Fountain.

Interment service follows church service.
