Betty Close Schoolcraft

Betty Close Schoolcraft, 87, of Commerce passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday afternoon November 19, 2022 at Medical Center of McKinney. Betty was born the daughter of Reinhold Close and Edith Sharp Close on October 4, 1935, in Peoria, Illinois. She leaves behind her three daughters: Karen Vermillion of Grand Prairie, Tx., Karol Brown of Royse City, Tx., and Karla Fallin of Commerce, Tx. Other survivors include 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and two brothers: Kenneth Close of Commerce, Tx. and Larry Close of Ladonia, Tx.  Those who preceded her in death include her parents, her husband, Virgil Schoolcraft, a daughter, Kathy Pilgrim, one sister, Ruby Close and one brother, Alvin Close.
