Betty Jean Miller

Betty Jean Miller, 85, passed away in Farmersville surrounded by family on Saturday, January 27, 2024.  Betty was born in Commerce on September 28, 1938 to Lewis Delbert Day and Ninnie Mae Holley.  Betty worked as a telephone operator for over 30 years at Gulf States United Phone Company where she retired from.  On February 5, 1965 Betty married the love of her life, Eugene Estice Miller, in Commerce.

Betty is survived by her nephews: Brian King and wife Chantelle, Gerald Harris, Gary Harris, and John Harris.  She is also survived by many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene Miller and daughters: Eugenia Denise Miller and Regenia Dawn Miller. She is also preceded by her sisters: Margaret Day Winton and Carrie May Day Harris and a brother Delbert Lee Day.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Jones-Walker & Son Chapel.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Pam Zolczer officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rosemound Cemetery.

 Pallbearers will be Gerald Harris, Gary Harris, John Harris, Brian King, Jerry Anderson and Nathan King.
